In a time when the roll and write game is bursting with popularity, Eggertspiele ups the ante with ERA – Medieval Age, the first roll and build game. Designed by Matt Leacock, yes, that Matt Leacock. The brains behind board game favorites like Pandemic, Forbidden Island, and Roll for the Ages. Word is, ERA is the first game in a series of the new roll and build format.
The goal of ERA – Medieval Age is to build a city that is unique to each player using the player boards and three-dimensional buildings included, but you want to make sure your city is more prosperous then all of the others! The photos of the components so far look amazing and will lend to a very original gaming experience.
Could this be the “next big thing” in tabletop games? Eggertspiele has a history of producing popular games like Great Western Trail, Coimbra, and Camel Up. Pair that with the outstanding resumé of Matt Leacock and we could be looking at something very special.
A limited quantity of pre-orders are available through Eggertspiele now with an anticipated early-mid August 2019 delivery. The pre-orders will not be eligible for pick up at Gen-Con. We’ll have to wait and see if copies will be available for purchase at the event.
